Boys Track Ends At Regional

The 4x100m Relay team of Cody Jones, Isaac Smith, Drew Fawcett, & Adam Woods set a new school record at this meet with a time of 43.99.  This broke the record of 44.03 the same quartet achieved earlier this season.  This earned the relay team sixth place in the meet.

Drew Fawcett moved into a tie for #7 on the all-time Huntington North Long Jump list with a leap of 21′ 1.75″ – this placed him fifth in the event at the meet.

No Vikings qualified for next week’s state meet.

Lady Vikings Fall To Homestead

The Lady Viking softball team fell in the sectional 13-4 to Homestead Thursday.

Lady Vikings To Meet Homestead For Sectional Title

The Huntington softball team pounded out 19 hits in their 17-2 sectional win over Jay County Tuesday. The Lady Vikings scored in six of the seven innings, plating six runs in the fourth and seven in the seventh.

Mackenzi Cannici had two home runs in the game with Ariene Butler also adding a long ball.

The Lady Vikings will now play Homestead Thursday at 5:00 for the sectional championship

Viking Golf Betters Bluffton

The Huntington golf team beat Bluffton Tuesday 172-180 and were lead by Zac Tackett and Jacob Vinson with 41 each, Zane Cozad shot 44, Michael May shot 46, Nolan Beterley shot a non-scoring 47.

The JV also won with a score of 189-219
Hunter Schwob lead the Jv with a 44, Alex Bickel 45, Bramely Shultz and Logan Sizemore with 50’s and Noah Gass with a non-scoring 52.
The Vikings play Marion Thursday night at Norwood, it is also Senior night.

Viking Golf At Yorktown

The Huntington golf team played down at the Players club in Yorktown Saturday. The Vikings shot 357,  Zac Tackett was the Vikind medalist with an 84, Zane Cozad shot a 89, Jacob Vinson shot a 91, Michael May shot a 93, and Nolan Betterly shot a non-scoring 94. Coach Vinson ”Better scores than last week at conference for everyone, except for Zac. Looking forward to the guys working hard these next two weeks and to keep the scores coming down in time for Sectional”.

Vikings Split At Jeff

Huntington North Vikings travelled to Lafayette to face Jeff in a double header and split with the Bronchos

Game 1:  Vikings won 3 -0

Game 2:  Bronchos won 9 – 1

Game 1 was played as part of the North Central Conference Tournament and with the win the HNHS Vikings secured 3rd place.
